Please DO NOT make any payments to the on-line-shop-for-demo-referral to our labels until we first take a listen to your music, the labels may not be looking for your sort of music, we will not refer your music with out you first sending in a mp3 song. Even then we may have to turn down your request, as the music may not be suitable.

Even when we hear your songs and you want us to refer them onto a label, I will take a second opinion and circulate it around to other people. I don't want to waste your time or give you false hope, or waste the labels time...so i might have to say I don't want to refer you on.. and give you the reasons. The majority of music we hear does get accepted and referred to the labels.

Q, 1. why is the fee quite high for demo referral ?

A, 1. because when I send it off I know that the labels A&R people will get it and listen to it, my involvement stops there . If they like it and take you on, you may be offered a record deal, so its a small price to pay, considering the money you may make by being taken on by them, all I do is introduce you to them, if you sent it in with out referral the chances are , it would not get listened to, as most good labels don't accept unsolicited demos.

Q, 2. What happens when i send the libertines agency an mp3 of my songs ?

A, 2. I take a listen, circulate it around to other people get a second opinion consider if the label may like it and are currently looking for that sort of sound, then I will ask you to then send in a CD Demo to my address. Then when im satisfied the labels are looking for that particular type of music, only then will I ask you to make a payment to the on line shop. I will then recommend you by writing a covering letter and send it to the Right person working for the label, along with your contact details.. My involvement will stop there. It is up to the label to get in touch with you. In effect you are paying for my contacts and your foot in the door with the label so they will listen to your music. Remember they get 250 demos in per week, most do not get listened to, with referral they do. I have got several bands demos listened to by a good label. I can not guarantee anything, other than I will recommend you  refer you and send it off to them with a letter with your contact details.

I will refuse any money sent to the on line shop, if you have not sent me in a mp3 of your songs by email first. Even then, i will not waste your time or give you false hope that you will suddenly get a record deal by sending me in your songs, if the songs are not suitable to the label I will tell you so and refuse to send it off to them.

Q, 3. What is the press pack

A, 3. The press pack is basically a CV consisting of one or two pages , photos of the band newspaper clippings, magazine reviews, past gig history, fan base, your demos, how many CD,S you have sold , your contact details etc, A MINI PORTFOLIO.

Q, 4. what am i paying for with the libertines agency re: the press pack

Q, 4. again referral, labels get hundreds of these and don't have the time to swift through these, then find who is the best etc. They are already trying to develop their current acts and don't want to waste time reading these packs. I will design it for you, and refer it on.. Again paying for my contacts and foot in the door. Again DO NOT make on line payments to the shop for press packs until I have first listened to your songs in mp3 format sent in by email, I will not design a pack or request you have one until im confident that the label is looking for your sort of music, again I don't want to give you false hop waste your time or the labels time.
